Official Communiqué No. 079 - Embassy of Cameroon in Germany
⚜️ Official Communication
COMMUNIQUÉ

The Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Germany hereby informs the Cameroonian community residing within its consular jurisdiction that the issuance and renewal of consular cards are ongoing.

In this regard, the Embassy wishes to remind the public that, as from Monday, 2 November 2026, the presentation of a valid consular card will be mandatory for the completion of consular procedures reserved for Cameroonian nationals residing abroad, namely:

  • the transcription of civil status records;
  • the celebration of marriages;
  • the issuance of powers of attorney;
  • the issuance or renewal of passports;
  • the legalisation of documents.

Accordingly, Cameroonian nationals who have not yet registered with the Embassy, or whose consular cards have expired, are invited to complete the necessary formalities as soon as possible in order to regularise their situation.

The consular card is a document used for the consular identification and registration of Cameroonian nationals residing abroad. It facilitates access to the various services and administrative formalities provided by the consular services.

Users are therefore invited to complete the relevant formalities via the online platform:

http://www.evisacam.cm
or, where necessary, to contact the Embassy's consular services for any further information.

The Embassy urges the entire Cameroonian community to take all necessary steps to comply with this measure and to act in the sense of responsibility and civic-mindedness of all concerned.
