ASSISTANCE TO CAMEROONIANS CAUGHT IN THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE CONFLICT

On Saturday 26 March 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Victor Ndocki, was on-site in Berlin, to receive a Cameroonian citizen, Mr Isaac Takor Takor, who had been held in a detention centre in Ukraine.
His arrival in Germany was the culmination of efforts undertaken in collaboration with Ukrainian authorities, the legal counsel mandated by the embassy to secure his release and transfer to Poland, and the Cameroonian community in Poland, which has been working tirelessly, in concert with the Embassy, to provide relief to Cameroonians in distress in Ukraine.
In the presence of his family members, and staff from the Embassy, Mr Takor Takor, visibly moved, expressed his gratitude for the measures put in place by the Government, and the solicitude and heroism of Cameroonians in Poland, who have been assisting Africans in Ukraine, since the onset of the conflict.
