66th IAEA General Conference in Vienna

H.E. Mr NDOCKI Victor, Permanent Representative of Cameroon led the Cameroonian delegation to the 66th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna, Austria from 26 to 30 September 2022.

In addition to the Permanent Representative, the delegation comprised representatives of the following administrations MINREX, MINRESI, MINSANTE, ANRP, HYDRAC.

In addition to participating in the plenary session during which he delivered Cameroon’s statement, the Head of Delegation met with senior officials of the Agency, including the Deputy Director General, Head of the Technical Cooperation Department and the Director of Nuclear Safety.

He had the opportunity to review with these two officials the cooperation between the Agency and Cameroon and to express Cameroon’s gratitude for all the assistance provided to our country, in particular the loan of detection and nuclear protection equipment during the African Cup of Nations organised by Cameroon.

On the sidelines of the General Conference, Ambassador NDOCKI Victor presented his accreditation to Mr. Rafael Mariano GROSSI, Director General of the IAEA, as well as to Mr. Robert FLOYD, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

Finally, Ambassador NDOCKI Victor, in the presence of the entire Cameroonian delegation, held a working session with the new Executive Secretary of the African Commission on Nuclear Energy (AFCONE), our compatriot ENOBOT AGBORAW who, on this occasion, received the congratulations of the group.
