CHANGE OF COMMAND AT THE MILITARY MISSION OF THE CAMEROONIAN EMBASSY IN BERLIN
The military mission of the Cameroonian embassy in Berlin welcomed in August its new defence attaché appointed by presidential decree number 2020/145/DU of 31 March 2020. The post of military attaché will henceforth be held by Colonel Bindele Isabelle-Sylvie Rémy, the first woman officer of the Cameroonian army to hold this position in the military mission in Berlin. She replaces Colonel Bidja Henri Robert in this position. The handover of command between the incoming defence attaché Colonel Bindele and the outgoing defence attaché Colonel Bidja took place on 12 August 2020 in the embassy in the presence of the embassy’s civilian staff.
In his speech, Ambassador H.E. Mr. Mpay congratulated the outgoing Colonel not only for his work within the military mission, for the remarkable supervision of Cameroonian trainee officers, but also for the role he played in the spread of military cooperation between Cameroon and the Federal Republic of Germany. The ambassador then urged the incoming colonel to continue in the footsteps of his predecessor, to work for the strengthening and expansion of the said cooperation to other innovative projects.
