PROFESSOR DAVID SIMO

Professor David SIMO, Germanist and professor emeritus of the universities of Cameroon, was received in audience on 9 June 2022 by the Ambassador of Cameroon, H.E. Victor NDOCKI.

On this occasion, Professor SIMO presented part of the research work he is carrying out in collaboration with researchers from the Museum of Prehistory and Protohistory, Department of Archaeology of Berlin on the German colonial past in Cameroon, a subject of current cultural policy and of great interest to Cameroon and Germany.

On the initiative of the cultural service, Professor SIMO also gave a conference-interview on 10 June 2022 to Alliance TV to inform the Cameroonian diaspora on the subject of “the restitution and rehabilitation of African works of art. The case of Cameroon”.

Ulrich Nogue

The Embassy of Cameroon in the Federal Republic of Germany (Berlin) regrets to announce the passing of Mr. Ulrich Nogue, a Cameroonian national, whose lifeless body was found on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the city of Berlin (Germany).

The Embassy informs that the competent German authorities have been notified. It is closely monitoring this matter in collaboration with the said authorities and calls on the community to observe a moment of reflection.
